Introduced to the U.S.A. in the 70's from Europe, EIFS is widely used both commercially
and residentially. EIFS consists of the components demonstrated by the picture.
Combined all of these components offer strength and insulation to a
building by wrapping the structure and keeping the interior environment free
of air infiltration by as much as 60%, conserving energy consumption. EIFS
also offer unlimited design flexibility and a variety of textures
and colors.
Stucco
Stucco is a
dry mix containing Portland cement, chopped strand fiberglass reinforcement,
micro-fibers for added strength and crack resistance, graded aggregates, and
specialty modifiers designed to enhance workability and cure.
